Jyothirmayi Balikasadanam
Jyothirmayi balikasadanm established on 6th June 2002 and it aims to protect orphaned girls and women. The society was first set up near Dr. Kesavan kutty’s house, who has been the member of Jyothirmayi balikasadanam. First there were only 2 habitants but by 2004 the number of inhabitants was increased up to 13. So it was very difficult to live all of them in a small building. So all of them were shifted into a new house near Nethalloor temple in karukachal. The new house was around 4000 sqft and it was built with the help of several kind and good heated people. Now the society has 38 inhabitants. Lots of famous people have visited the organization, Which includes film actor Bharath Gopi, swami Poornamruthanantha puri, (Secretary Matha Amrithanada mayi madam) Magician Sri Gopinath Muthukadu, Padmasree P Parameswaran, Sri Yohannan Rumbban (Secretary orphanage control board) and O Rajagopal (Former Union Minister).

In 2002 May Jyothirmayi balikasadanam adopted a school with the aim of providing solid education to the children in balikasadanam. The school started in a small building and a 10000 sqft new building was inaugurated by swami Poornamruthanantha puri,(Secretary Matha Amrithanadamayi madam) in presence of Sri O Rajagopal (Former minister). Now here the students can study up to 10 standard. The syllabus of school is CBSE. Apart from studies, we provide other cultural activities like yoga, Sanskrit learning to students.
